There are a wide range of places where you can go today with your friends and family to enjoy a game of paintball. It is safe to say that Connecticut (CT) is one of the most popular state in the US when it comes to playing paintball.
With that being said, we have list the best places for paintball so that you can have a easier time when it comes to making a decision.
Best Paintball Places in Connecticut (CT)
1. Extreme Paintball
Extreme Paintball in Waterbury is one of the best places you can visit if you want to have a fun time with your friends and family. The only downside is the fact that they do mostly private groups so reservations are required.
With that said, they tend to host open play days so if you don’t have a full squad to attend with you can still check them out and have a fun experience. Even when it is open play, making reservations is still required especially for those who are planning on renting equipment. Whenever open play is taking place what they do is separate the players evenly so not all of the talented players are on the same team. Making sure the playing field is mixed will make the game a lot better.
One thing that we really find interesting is that their woodsball field has a great mixture of both natural and man-made hazards. Before taking part in the game everyone has to sign a waiver. The minimum age to take part is 10 and all players under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign for them. The waiver is also available on their official website.
Google Review: “They had a lot of fields, but my favorite were the small speed ball fields, cuz that’s where you really got to play, there you could really use strategy, the other fields were just chance, workers were pretty friendly, one got annoyed at me cuz I shot him by mistake but that was my fault, paint is really really really overpriced, but other than that great experience!”
2. Yankee Paintball
Yankee Paintball that’s located in Oxford is another fun place you can visit if you want to have loads of fun with the people you love. What we really love about this place is the fact that they have open play every Saturday and Sunday. Another thing is that you can also book private parties on the weekend as well. You should take the time out to check out their events if you wa t to keep up to date with all the tournaments they keep such as 3v3 and mechanical.
Apart from that, they also offer Low Impact Paintball which is the ideal choice for the younger players and those who are new to the game. It’s safe to say that using smaller caliber and lower velocity means that Lower Impact Paintball tends to hurt way less than normal paintball. So if you’re scared to try because of the pain that comes with it, Low Impact is the way to go.
Yankee Paintball currently have five fields including two speedball fields and scenario fields for a wide range of games. Yankee Paintball was designed for only paintball games and they also offer reasonable prices so it’s nothing to really worry about. Keep in mind that everyone will have to sign a waiver before entering the match. Players between the age of 10-17 will also need a signature of a parent or guardian. It’s relatively easy since the waivers can be printed out or sign electronically on their official website.
Google Review: “My absolute favorite Paintball Field in the state by far, absolutely amazing staff the two owners are really cool guys always willing to help and make sure you’re there to have an amazing day, and if you ever go definitely check out one of their big games or their tournaments they do a great job putting it together.”
3. Hogan’s Alley Paintball
Hogan’s Alley Paintball is currently located in Meriden and is considered to be one of the crowd favorite paintball spot. They have a total of six fields on their 15 acres land. They are equipped with a wide range of gaming mode such as capture the flag, rescue, team elimination and supply run. Not only that, but even have woodsball and scenario fields, with both natural and man-made hazards.
Apart from that, you will have the opportunity to run a wide range of games on a number of different field types, so there are several ways to play and have fun. It’s best to know that Hogan’s Alley Paintball is a field paint only park, so you should prepare on purchasing your paint on site. Their price for paint, field and rental are extremely affordable so you don’t have to worry even if you’re on a tight budget.
As you can see, Hogan’s Alley is a wonderful place if you want to enjoy a game of paintball or airsoft. They are definitely worth the investment. Every player has to sign a waiver before taking part in the sport. The minimum age is 10 and all players under 18 must get the signature of a parent or guardian. The waiver can also be signed electronically on their official website.
Google Review: “This place has been open for a long time and that’s great. You can often find that random item as they often have new and used stuff. The prices is competitive for a brick and mortar store and some items go on sale in there website store. There’s air and even re-hydro for tanks and there’s open play on weekends. What more can you really ask for, I hope this place stays open for a long long time.”
We have now come to an end of some of the best paintball fields in Connecticut. All these fields are wonderful and the prices are amazing so you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank just to have fun.
